Perfect to commemmorate an event, a holiday or simply to celebrate the towns in which we live, each design is created lovingly by Norah Harte-Hogan in her studio in Kilcullen, Co. Kildare, Ireland. Her background in Visual Communications has led her to develop a distinctly graphic style with bold, vibrant colour schemes that transform our perceptions of our localities and encourage us to preserve positive memories of these everyday spaces.

Sustainable art consciously created in Ireland using sustainable or recycled materials: from our paper right down to the protective cello sleeves that your print or card arrives in. You can purchase knowing that we care about the impact our business has on the planet.

Bespoke Commissions
If you are looking for a truly unique and thoughtful gift or for that statement piece of art for your own home, why not commission a custom location? A personalised print From The Harte created specifically to your specifications and with meaning can be ideal for occassions such as birthdays, retirements, weddings or a new home. Norah can design any location and include a message of your choosing for the piece. She has designed wedding invitations, milestone birthday gifts and retirement presents based on locations that are personal and which hold meaning and fond memories for the client.
These pieces can be bought umounted, mounted or mounted and framed, depending on whether you wish to send them overseas, post them within Ireland or have a completely finished piece delivered to your door.

Prints
Shop our range of ready-made prints, available in sizes A4 or A3. Norah has already designed a range of Irish Local Landmark prints so take a look and see if your hometown, university or wedding location has already been created!
Cards
Cards are available for all occassions and are based on Norah's original, hand-drawn illustrations in her favourite Micron pens. Colour is then applied digitally and the completed designs are professionally printed on the highest quality FSC-certified paper, and are 100% recyclable and plastic-free.
Sustainability
Sustainability is vital.
Wherever possible Norah uses local Irish companies to create her products, from printing to packaging.

What is an FSC Certification?
FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council, which is an international non-profit organisation founded in 1993 with a mission to create responsible forestry. It is the only forest verification scheme endorsed by leading environmental charities like WWF, the Woodland Trust and Greenpeace. (www.https://www.savemoneycutcarbon.com)
Norah uses local suppliers whenever possible and consciously chooses materials for her work that are sustainable, recyclable, or resuable. The PLA bags around her cards and prints are sustainably sourced and compostable, and are made from corn starch bio plastic and are certified brown bin compostable.

Frame
Her cards are designed to be artworks in their own right; not throwaway pieces of paper but considered pieces of art that can be framed, hung and treasured for a lifetime. Greeting cards are printed on FSC-certified paper, and are 100% recyclable and plastic-free.
Often your order might arrive in an Amazon envelope or something similar. This is because where possible Norah repurposes any packing paper, bubble wrap, backing board and envelopes that come through the front door. In her studio you will find a stack of envelopes and boxes and piles of recyclable bubble wrap and tissue paper just waiting to be reused.
Alternatively your design will arrive in brown Kraft postal tubes with plastic end caps for safe storage and postage of posters, plans or other large papers. These tubes have a minimum recycled content of 90%.
Backing board for art prints is Pankaboard, a company that create card goods which are sustainably sourced, traceable, recyclable and biodegradable.
